The Alexandria Young Democrats (AlxYD) is a group of liberal and progressive Alexandrians who provide a welcoming community for fellow young Democrats to connect and develop civic virtues. We focus on elevating the voices of young people within the Democratic Party and the city of Alexandria, VA. We seek to foster civic knowledge and empower tomorrow’s leaders today.

AlxYD a chapter of the Virginia Young Democrats, the official youth arm of the Democratic Party of Virginia and a chapter of the Young Democrats of America.
AlxYD is also the official youth caucus for the Alexandria Democratic Committee (ADC), which empowers our members to build connections with both our local and state leaders.
